Xiumei Dong covers the intersection of technology and law with a particular focus on data security and privacy.
Before moving to San Francisco, she has closely followed regulatory and legal actives of Congress and federal agencies in Washington DC. Xiumei received a Master’s from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism with an emphasis in business and technology reporting.

Prior to joining the Master program, Xiumei was a video editor at Today’s TMJ4, an NBC-affiliated television station located in Milwaukee, WI. She is also a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
She is also fluent in Chinese.
